What does the shadow minister of foreign affairs do?
Thanks for the question Jennifer. Shadow ministers are members of the opposition who have responsibility for scrutinising – closely examining – the work of the government and individual ministers. Each shadow minister concentrates on the work of a particular minister and government department. For example, the Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs closely examines the work of the Foreign Minister, and also puts forward and explains opposition foreign affairs policies.
