You can get involved in the Australian political system in lots of ways Paige! You could write to or email members of parliament, or sign a petition. Parliamentary committees encourage people to give their opinion on bills and issues of importance to Australians. You could also attend a meeting or protest to let members of parliament know you are concerned about an issue.

If you are over 18, voting in federal elections means you can have a say in who represents you in the federal Parliament.
